Sunday Sketches

In Honor of Gypsy



My dearly beloved kitty died. I wanted to honor her with a sketch today. First I drew the lines with ink and then applied watercolor.

She has the sweetest face :)

I had been her hospice nurse focusing on making her quality of life the best possible which meant spoiling her with food and special privileges. She spent her last evening finishing a bowl of ice cream and snuggled next to me in bed.

She is missed by all.....

    oh no! I am so sorry to hear this...losing a beloved pet is just awful.

    Oh gosh, Joanne. I'm SO sorry. I know how much I love my doggy, the comfort he has brought me and how much I would feel at loss to lose him. Sending you hugs. Your tribute is stunning and a wonderful way to remember her.

    Joanne, I lost my sweetheart siamese, Sputnik, in August, so I know exactly how you feel. Hugs!

    Your drawing is a beautiful tribute to Gypsy. I'm sure she felt all the love you gave her.

    I am so sorry for your loss! It is always so heart breaking to lose a beloved pet. I miss my cats so much this time of year - they loved to jockey for the best position underneath the tree. Wonderful work here inspired by your kitty.
