Sunday Sketches

I do not know about the Ground Hog, but yesterday was spring-like here in Washington.

After pruning my fruit trees, I was sitting in the sunshine having lunch when I thought about doing my weekly sketch. Why go inside? Instead, I continued to enjoy the sunshine while creating.

This is a fabulous driftwood log I come across when I take a walk along the inlet near Burfoot Park in Olympia. I love its grace....

The Olympic Mountains are in the background.

Another stellar day outside today :)

  1. Fabulous watercolour...snowing here in western France, which is rare...stayed in all day... cabin fever.. :)

  2. I love those sunshine filled days that inspire is surprising ways! :) So glad you decided to stay out. Your piece is wonderful and I continue to study your techniques in hopes to improve my own. I'm still struggling with getting things to flow accordingly and not so choppy within my own art. Maybe I don't use enough water?

Anyway, thank you for always joining us as I look forward to seeing what you've done.

    Hugs and happy SS! :)

  3. Oh ~ This is excellent ~ I love ~ Wow! ~ Great work ~ namaste, carol (Share the Creative Journey)

  4. such a sweet and lovely piece.
cold and gray here with an old foot of snow on the ground, usually we have many feet by now. But the sun did come out and oh how lovely it was!
